A Royal Wish List: Christmas Gift Ideas

The holiday season can be an extremely stressful time of year.  Not only are there 3 major holidays within an approximate 2 and 1/2 month span of one another, and you're constantly worried with food preparation, party planning, and maintaining your home; but you have to add in gift giving! Let's not even mention those of us who have family members with birthdays during the holiday season and the guilt we feel of not giving them a birthday present simply because it falls too close to Christmas.  All of these things cause undo stress (i.e., financial stress) and to top it all off, you now have to actually give deep thoughts to the gifts you will give to your loved ones.  So, please feel free to indulge in a list of 10 gift ideas that might help you get through the most stress-I mean-wonderful time of the year!

1) Tired of seeing your man with those pesky razor bumps, ladies? Give the gift of the Bevel shaving system. This system is specifically designed to provide a clean shaven look without the irritation and razor bumps experienced by those with coarse or curly hair.  Visit getbevel.com to purchase.

2) Your best friend just graduated from their undergraduate or graduate program, moved into their first apartment, and decided to save money by refusing to subscribe to a cable provider? Then they probably won't be able to catch the reruns of this classic 90s hit sitcom on MTV2, Centric, BET, etc.  So, be a dear friend and get the complete DVD set for them as their Christmas gift!

3) For the music lovers in your life.  We were blessed with tons of incredibly dope music in 2015.  Give your loved ones the gift of music this holiday.  They could use it to buy individual albums or towards an Apple Music subscription.

4) For the socially conscious reader in your life.  World renowned writer and activist Sister Souljah penned another classic for us this year.  Add this to your gift-giving list and whoever receives it will surely thank you. Barnes and Noble is a great place to look.

5) Have a fitness junkie in your life? Or someone who is working to overcome the health disparities they face by becoming a healthier being? Or maybe they don't ever experience health disparities but have made a commitment to living a healthier lifestyle? A Fitbit might help! This gift is a little on the expensive side, but when used properly could change the receivers life. Academy has them.

6) Tea loving hippie on your list? Or maybe you're trying to persuade your significant other to indulge in other sources of caffeine besides coffee? Teavana gift cards are an excellent choice. This famous tea shop has a plethora of loose leaf tea choices.  Their employees are tea consultants of sorts.  They're usually found in malls across the country, but the delectables may be ordered online as well.

7) We all have that friend or family member that is a bag lady/gentleman. Maybe they're like us here at Kroun and "need to be prepared-because...safety first!" Or, maybe they're a student.  Or a brand new mom.  A Herschel backpack is the perfect gift for them.  Herschel is our favorite supplier of all things bags, luggage, and "carrier" items.  Durable and stylish, the bag lover in your life will be proud to tote one of these.  There are plenty of styles to choose from on their site.  Go explore!

8) Of course we had to remember our Type A best friend who plans their entire life 5 years in advance! Well, you can't really help them with that. What you can do is get them a dope calendar to start off their new year.  It's all in the details for this type of friend.  See what I did there? Amazon has some really cool ones.  (Planner pictured is expensive. We just thought it was a valid statement.)

9) Your significant other or best friend is ALWAYS late, right? And you're wanting them to turn over a new leaf for the new year? A stylish watch would be perfect.  (The Movado pictured is expensive.  It's just SUPER fly.  A watch is a watch.  Be smart! It's also listed as a "men's" watch but women like big faces as well. Know your gift receiver's style. ) Overstock has a great selection for all budgets.

10) When all else fails, cash will do.  Sometimes the phrase "it's the thought that counts" doesn't work because your thoughts are way off and you probably shouldn't have thought at all.  We're sure that cash, check, or cash equivalent gift cards will do.
